Salary - $150,000 + full benefits

Location - 100% remote

Well established IT firm is seeking an experienced DB2 z/OS System Programmer. This role is responsible for installing, customizing, upgrading, maintaining, and tuning DB2 for z/OS, including IBM and 3rd party offerings, running on the Mainframe z/OS platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration and technical support of the DB2 for z/OS environments, including problem analysis and resolution.
• Provide on-call support and respond within the agreed SLA. Satisfy any on-site support requirements as required.
• Build and perform maintenance and migration to new levels for DB2 environments.
• Installing, customizing, maintenance and migration to new levels of OEM and ISV Software Products.
• Consulting with the customer on configuration changes and new features of software.
• Support Disaster Recovery exercises.
• Manage changes within standard control processes and mechanisms.
• Produce clear technical documentation. 

Qualifications

• Must have 4 years of progressive experience in DB2 for z/OS technical support.
• Must be a USC or Greencard holder
• Functional knowledge and use of SMPE, DB2 tools, JCL, System maintenance and patching.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and independently seek out and interact with colleagues and outside vendors.
• Capability to shuffle priorities in response to a changing workload.
• Flexibility to keep up with changing technology.
