For more information on the college staff leadership academy, please visit: For more information on college staff professional development, please visit: Purpose Manage and support human resource functions for the College of Liberal Arts and collaborate with team members to provide effective HR support for the college. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other COLA HR Leadership team to evaluate college HR Processes and develop new processes as needed. Assist COLA HR Leadership with Wiki pages as needed.
- Maintain complete and accurate personnel records, reports, and other documentation. Collaborate with other HR personnel for reporting efforts. Generate periodic and ad hoc reports for COLA HR Leadership.
- Provide day-to-day human resources support for students, faculty and staff within the College of Liberal Arts. Provide support for internal processes and Workday inquiries.
- Maintain complete and accurate personnel records, spreadsheets, lists, and other documentation. Produce reports or provide data to school leadership on a periodic or ad hoc basis. With COLA HR Leadership to maintain instructional budget workbooks. Collaborate with Assistant Director to ensure reconciliation is up to date for budget and commitments.
- Provide support for promotion and tenure processes. Assist assigned committees and monitor dossier status. Gather data and prepare reports. Provide support for performance appraisal process and mass upload.
- Serve as additional recruiter for staffing efforts as needed and provide support for college job postings. Collaborate with other COLA HR Leadership team to develop an effective recruiting strategy and support College recruitment. Assist with offer process including collaborating with managers/HR team on flexible work arrangements and generating offer letters. Maintain recruiting files and process documentation.
- Work with Director and Assistant Director to schedule and provide trainings with college personnel on HR policies and procedures
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance. Professional demeanor. Experience working with confidential information and providing support to customers using discretion. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented with excellent communication skills. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field and at least five years' experience performing complex administrative functions and processes. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a large higher education setting. Experience with executive level scheduling and calendar management, report preparation and training development. Working knowledge of UT Austin structure, administrative practices and procedures. Demonstrated excellent analytical skills, problem solving ability and strong critical thinking skills. Experience with managing workflows and process improvement. Experienced technical skills using human resource and/or financial systems. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain cross-campus relationships. Salary Range $58,000 + depending on qualifications Working Conditions - Typical office environment
