Essentially they seek a professional, preferably manager level or above who seeks to make their firm their new long term home. They have an international corporate tax Partner who is slowly winding down his affairs and seeking to take someone under his wing who can in the long term inherit his very interesting book of clients. So yes, this is a succession planning role for a person who shares some of the values and outlooks mentioned above.

Work involves;
- FACTA consulting and compliance
- IC-DISC consulting and compliance
- Assisting foreign-based companies establish business operations in the U.S.
- Assisting U.S.-based businesses establish operations in foreign jurisdictions
- Working with foreign entities investing in the U.S. (real estate and other assets)
- Assisting U.S. and foreign investors with joint ventures
To have a high chance of receiving a call back in connection with this opportunity you will need to have at least 5+ years US international tax experience gained within any sized CPA firm. You will have or be very close to obtaining a CPA license and you will either already be living in the Detroit area or have a strong desire to relocate to this market. Family ties to the area are a major plus.
