Guests feel it; you'll feel it too. **What You'll Do** The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all housekeeping activities regarding the cleaning and maintenance of the property. This is a high energy role for someone who embodies and values Kimpton culture! **Some of your responsibilities include:** + Select, staff, recruit, hire, and train qualified housekeeping candidates. + In charge of scheduling all regular and irregular cleanings Ex: room carpets, upholstery, and draperies as needed, along with annual or semiannual deep cleaning projects and window cleaning as necessary. + Responsible for the cleanliness of all common areas, meeting spaces, and public areas of the hotel. + Review MOD report for room moves, guest issues and special requests + Responsible for preparing room assignments, distributing keys and assigning floors for all housekeeping staff each morning. + Communicate with the Front Desk, Sales, and Maintenance Departments to ensure a high quality product and service level is delivered to our guests. + Assist with guest requests as required. + Review outside laundry facility servicing to ensure quality, undamaged linens and consistent delivery, keeping in mind the budgetary guidelines. + Review and update systems and supplies purchased for guest room accommodations using budgetary guidelines. + Train by instruction and practice, both formally and on-the-job; and update staff on any new laws or regulations necessary to safely perform their tasks. + Maintain good performance and efficiency levels by setting quality standards following hotel procedures and policies. + Control all expenditures relating to Housekeeping, including, labor, guest room supplies, and all cleaning supplies and equipment. + Prepare annual housekeeping budget. + Manages all employees in the Housekeeping Department. + Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. + Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training, employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. **What You Bring** + Bachelor's degree in hospitality or similar industry preferred. + 3+ years management experience in boutique hotel industry. + Basic knowledge of MS Office. + Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
