Job Description

Salary: $85,000 - 107,000 per year Requirements:

• Minimum of seven years of experience, or an associate degree in a relevant technical field combined with seven years of pertinent work experience
• Proven knowledge in the construction, mechanical, electrical, or HVAC service sector
• Strong understanding of mechanical schematics, electrical diagrams, control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and related subsystems
• Demonstrated experience with the integration of low voltage building subsystems using various industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet)
• Ability to convey technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
• Proficient computer skills, particularly with drafting tools like Visio
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, with at least five years of experience, or an associate degree with relevant experience

• Design and configure technically intricate building control systems as specified by contract documents
• Create flow diagrams, operation sequences, material bills, network layouts, and electrical schematics as necessary
• Develop and test software programs essential for system operation based on project requirements
• Oversee the generation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submissions and installation
• Select, order, and monitor the delivery of materials for assigned projects
• Ensure factory-mounting processes align with project timelines
• Assist in the setup and commissioning of all network-level controllers and systems
• Validate overall system functionality and troubleshoot issues collaboratively with subcontractors and other trades
• Relay field change information to the project team to aid in producing as-built drawings and software
• Keep management and contractors informed about job progress and challenges
• Help conduct site-specific training for owners/operators concerning the complete building control system
• Participate in release meetings with the project field team
• Engage in value engineering to achieve cost-effective outcomes while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a high standard of safety for employees and subcontractors
