Controller - Opportunity at Mitsa Group LLC

Mitsa Group LLC is a local owned management company that owns and operates properties in the restaurant, hospitality, fast food, and retail categories. With over 40 years of operating experience, we have built a portfolio of 50+ properties in the broader Hampton Roads region. We are looking for a CPA with current licensing that can oversee the accounting department. To include receivables, payables, payroll, financial statements, & tax returns.

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Prepare tax returns

Qualifications:

• Current CPA license. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Proven experience as a Controller or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
