Care Coordinator – Telehealth Obesity Care

🩺 The Role

We’re seeking an organized, empathetic Care Coordinator to serve as the primary liaison for patients in our virtual obesity care programs. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations, patient satisfaction, and care efficiency — all from the comfort of your home. This Care Coordinator role is focused on patient services including scheduling, pre-authorizations and insurance verification and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and upholding confidentiality standards. It is no a clinical role.

What you’ll do:

• Act as the main point of contact for patients, providing clear and compassionate communication
• Manage scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow‑ups
• Assist with pre‑authorizations and insurance verification to prevent disruptions in care
• Support daily clinical operations, including documentation and record‑keeping
• Engage patients proactively to encourage adherence to care plans
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and uphold confidentiality standards

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in healthcare coordination, administration, or patient support (required)
• Preferred: Telehealth experience and familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid populations
• Skills: Proficiency with scheduling tools, telehealth platforms, EHRs, and Google Workspace
• Other: Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, reliable internet, and HIPAA‑compliant workspace
